Summer finally arrived in Western Oregon. Here’s my most recent painting titled: Summer Celebration Purple/Red/Umber. I’m calling it a painting, mostly because it’s on canvas. But it has all the characteristics of a drawing. I’m guessing it’s just my choice of terms.
Anyone reading this will know very quickly that I am not much of a blogger and possibly don’t understand what a blog is for. But I will post another drawing. I have found it interesting when I’ve mentioned to someone that I’m doing drawings I can see their brow knit and they seem to be thinking that a drawing is a preliminary to something. I think it is an end to itself.
A cloudy Saturday here. I’ll try to post another image before I tackle the Saturday morning chores. This combines my two recent interests. Feathers/birds and the human form.
We’ll see if I’ve figured this out. I’ve deleted all prior posts and will start anew by attaching my most recent painting.
Mr. O, acrylic. It’s for an Osprey what was hanging out at our pond for several weeks. He’s gone now. Perhaps helping to tend the nest. C.
